With Space Hulk: Deathwing, Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive are looking to deliver a close-quarters and against-all-odds type of combat experience in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. This Unreal Engine 4 title has a team of Terminator soldiers attempting to purge a Space Hulk of the Xenos infestation, all the while trying to find the source of where this mysterious adversary came from. In the newest gameplay trailer, we see a selection of killing tools at our disposal.
The first of these is the Storm Bolter, a standard issue weapon for the Terminator. It’ll do for grunt work, but the Redemption variant can kick things up a notch in cases the Bolter isn’t strong enough.. The Thunder Hammer is for cases when the Terminator wants to send a close-up and direct message to the scourge. The Assault Cannon is a piece of killing machinery that looks like it can get the job done in a pinch. You have no idea what’s hanging out in the dark depths of this spaceship, and you can easily get jumped by a horde of scary creatures at any given moment. When it seems too overwhelming, whipping out a heavy-hitting Plasma Cannon to level the playing field, followed by a Heavy Flamer to clean up the enemy mess seems like the best way to go.
Speaking of weapons, if you’re the pre-ordering type of gamer – you’ll get The Lost Mace of Corswain to use in-game.
Space Hulk: Deathwing is set to release November 2016 for PC, and in 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One. To see more content from the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
