Square Enix has released a new video for Rise of the Tomb Raider’s upcoming DLC, Blood Ties. The new story expansion pits Lara Croft against another member of the Croft family as they both vie for the deed to Croft Manor, her ancestral home.
In the new story, Lara’s uncle demands that she show proof of ownership to the manor. In order to do so, she must descend deep into the ancient ruins to uncover proof of her birthright, or lose her father’s secrets forever.
In addition to the new campaign expansion, Lara can also participate in a new mode called Lara’s Nightmare, in which Croft Manor becomes overrun by all manner of undead.
Square Enix released a developer video as part of their ongoing Woman vs. Wild promotional series, which is part of the franchise’s 20-year anniversary celebration.
The DLC will be released in the PS4 version, which includes PSVR support and other goodies. It comes out on October 11. Owners on the PC and Xbox One will get the content for free.
