For people living under a gaming rock, The Sims series of video games is about you playing god over virtual characters as they live out their lives. You satisfy their needs, help them achieve any aspirations or desires they have, and watch them grow old and die (or place four walls around them without a door and starve them to death because you’re evil or something). The base games of The Sims provides a lot of things to do on their own, but they really serve as the foundation. In each generation of this series, expansions and stuff packs are released that add more features and themed content to it.
The Sims 4 is no stranger to this DLC cycle, and they’re planning to release their third expansion pack City Living this November.
Your sims will now have the opportunity to travel and live in a new coastal city known as San Myshuno. The streets will be filled with activities: shoot some hoops in the Spice District, check out some of the festivals going on when they come to town, or even just take your work buddies to the Karaoke Bar for an awkward, but unforgettable night. Living the city life requires a place for you to call home, and the new apartment system is ready to give your simfolk a space to stay. Although apartments have more limitations, they’ll still have their own outlet of assorted gameplay features included. For the successful sim who reaches the top of their career ladder (this expansion has new additions: Politician, Critic, and Social Media), penthouse suites push the living system into the lavish and luxurious side of things.
The Sims 4 City Living expansion launches on November 1st for PC and Mac. To learn more about the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
