If you’re familiar with the video game industry then you would likely be able to recognize some of the more iconic industry leader names, such as Hideo Kojima. These iconic developers have created some of the most well-renowned video game franchises around the world, but now a Kickstarter video game has put these iconic developers as the main protagonists.
The Kickstarter video game we’re referring to is Dawn of the Devs which is a 2D puzzle platformer. What makes this game standout is the parody main protagonists such as Hideo Kojima, Cliff Bleszinski, and Tim Schafer. Although, their video game counterparts are named Tom Schiffer, Biff Klozinski, and Hiro Komiya.
These three protagonists are also video game industry gurus though there were sucked into a wicked world of gaming where dark sinister characters have come to life, causing immense havoc throughout the lands. Players will find that the heroes of Dawn of the Devs will be equipped with weaponry from some of these industry leader’s most popular franchises such as a cardboard box from Metal Gear or the Mark 2 Lancer made famous in Gears of War.
As it stands right now, the Kickstarter campaign developers, Underdog Studios, is seeking $65,000 for a PC version of the game which would release on November 18, 2016. Although, if the campaign exceeds that amount and hits $100,000, then the developers would release console versions of the video game. There are other goals stored as well which could allow the developers to add other famed industry leaders into the game such as Peter Molyneux, Gabe Newell, and Shigeru Miyamoto.
