Microsoft announced today that is has opened preorders for Windows 10 PC games from its own Windows Store. A plethora of Xbox Play Anywhere games are available to preorder right now, including ReCore, which is the very first Xbox Play Anywhere game.
In addition to this, Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 are also available. Preordering was not available through the Windows Store until today.
Xbox Play Anywhere was announced during Microsoft’s E3 briefing in June. It combines Xbox One and PC like never before, as buying a game digitally once gets you a copy of the PC version for free, and vice versa.
In addition, your saves move across platforms, so you can start playing on one device and resume your playthrough on another.
Even if you don’t own an Xbox One or a Windows 10 equipped PC, you can buy games and they’ll be stored in the cloud for you to download later.
ReCore kicks off the Xbox Play Anywhere program. The game will release on September 13th. Forza Horizon 3 launches later in the month, and Gears of War 4 is due out in October.
