It looks like the Natural Disasters expansion isn’t the only thing Cities: Skylines is doing to add new content to the game. Today, the publishers over at Paradox Interactive announced their initiative to connect with the community in the most direct way possible – letting them in on making some money for their work.
The first of the planned Content Creator Pack series will be an Art Deco themed DLC of work created by community member Matt Crux. This deal will work out pretty well, with Crux getting a nice initial payment bonus and a share of all revenue from the sales of this DLC.
“After over 3,400 hours in Cities: Skylines, it’s wonderful to have my own buildings become part of the game’s landscape,” Matt Crux said. “Because the Art Deco era is so highly regarded as one of the best building styles of history, I think it needs to be represented as such. I made the suggestion to Paradox Interactive and they allowed me to come up with the buildings of my choice. I’m eager to see what the rest of the community thinks of them.”
You’ll be able to get a hold of it next week, and help support Matt Crux’s work in doing so. Cities: Skylines is available now on PC (Mac/Linux). For more updates, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
