It might have been risky to go back and start the next Battlefield video game, Battlefield 1, in the past during World War One, however, from the fan reaction and gameplay trailer, the DICE development team seemed to have crossed that bridge quite easily. Despite reading about World War One in your history books, there’s still quite a bit of information that gamers might not be aware of.
In a brand new video released by EA earlier today, we got to see details regarding the various weapons that are present in the game. According to various developers and creative minds behind the upcoming video game title, there were a wide variety of weapons and tools used within the war.
This will be a more up close and personal battle with melee weapons, machine guns, rifles, sidearms, and more. While the developers admit that they are not taking a direct recreation of certain weapons from the war, they did quite a bit of intensive research to understand how these weapons felt, sounded, and fired.
What will likely be a series of videos that will lead up to the release of Battlefield 1, you can check out the latest trailer that shows off upcoming title weapons and the development process behind them within the video posted above. Likewise, it was noted recently that EA will show off a brand new trailer for Battlefield 1 during this year’s Gamescom.
As for when you can get your hands on a copy of Battlefield 1, the game will launch on October 21, 2016, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
