In Civilization VI, Pedro II is the leader of Brazil – the Magnanimous was his nickname. He was seen as one of the most popular “last monarchs” of the world. The developers over at Firaxis want to show you the advantages of Brazil in the upcoming Civilization game.
Pedro’s special ability is the same as his nickname, Magnanimous. After he recruits a great person, Pedro will get some of the point cost back. Brazil’s unique district, the Carnival, replaces the Entertainment Complex for the faction. Once it’s built, the Carnival city project can be pursued, which allows production to be turned into additional amenities. Completion of the project grants more Great Person points. Brazil’s unique unit is the Minas Geraes, a warship unlocked through the Nationalism civic. The bonuses of it are increased ranged combat value, and defense improvements. Finally, Brazil gets adjacency bonuses for developing around rainforests – this will cause some tough decisions that need to be made when city planning.
The game comes out on October 21st for PC, Mac, and Linux. To keep in touch with all the Civilization VI news, watch their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
