Despite the whole Superformula discussion surrounding the game, No Man’s Sky‘s trailer releases are still on schedule. The most recent of these series pillars is titled “Trade”, showing viewers how the process of obtaining natural resources from explored planets can lead to financial gains for yourself later on.
For those of you who watch closely, there’s segments of the video that actually show off gameplay menus related to some of the upgrade and inventory systems in place here. The story depicted in the trailer shows the explorer character obtaining ores and flora from a distant planet, then traveling to a space station in order to trade it for weapons and other upgrades. Also, analyzing a desolate space contraption seemed to unlock the technology unit blueprint for the player. It looked like they discovered a mining laser that had the option of rebuilding in their multi-tool crafting kit. For the rest of the video, it seemed as if the space explorer went around the galaxy to shoot stuff with it. It’s certainly one of those unscripted adventures that people hope the game to be full of when it releases.
At the end of the trailer, we can see that No Man’s Sky‘s August release date is still firmly on track at this time. If anyone is concerned that could somehow change before launch, the website, Twitter, and Facebook are the best places to check.
