In Taichung, Taiwan, a 14-Foot version of Warcraft’s Lich King resides at the Calligraphy Greenway, a tourist attraction that draws many patrons. The statue weighs an astounding 4,000 pounds. Arthas is one of Warcraft’s most memorable and popular characters.
In tandem with the statue’s unveiling, Blizzard also released an upcoming Heroes of the Storm skin for Arthas. Mystic Kingdoms Arthas is based on Guan Yu, a famous Chinese warrior from the late Eastern Han Dynasty.
This is the result of Blizzard’s collaboration with Chinese partner NetEase Game and will be available in a bundle with the new Crimson Hare mount on July 26th. Photos of the skin can be seen below.
Blizzard celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2016 but it started out in 1991 as Silicon & Synapse, not adopting its current moniker, Blizzard Entertainment, until 1994.
Blizzard really went big with the introduction of this amazing statue, which stands for all now as a celebration of all of their hard work and success in the industry.
