There’s been a big battle going on right now between AMD and Nvidia. Both companies have announced their latest GPU cards that are aimed to deliver incredible performance without breaking the bank. However, new leaked benchmarks reveal that the Nvidia GTX 1060 may have the edge over AMD’s RX480.
It’s important to note that right now, there’s no official word on when review units of the GTX 1060 will be released for the media. Instead, we’re simply waiting to see just how well the GTX 1060 will fare compared to other GPU cards in both Nvidia’s latest lineup and their competition of AMD.
However, new leaked images of a Firestrike benchmark has found its way online that shows off well the GTX 1060 will do during gameplay. After being spotted by WCCFTech, it’s revealed that the benchmark shows off the GTX 1060 GPU being equipped with an Intel Core i7-6700K.
Through the two tests, the 3DMark tests reveal that the GTX 1060 has a score of 1125 during 1080p. This trumps the AMD RX480 as it was able to deliver a score of 10600. Likewise, the GTX 1060 was able to deliver a 4K score of 3014.
Again, these are leaked benchmarks and we’ll know more about the upcoming Nvidia GPU card when it’s delivered to the media for testing. Because the RX480 is marked around the $200 price range, we imagine the GTX 1060 will also be below the $300 price tag, ultimately giving AMD some serious competition once again.
