Ninokuni Could Get Additions For Western Release

April 18, 2012 by Ron Taylor

Level-5 hints at DLCs for Ninokuni.

Ni No Kuni

Speaking to Eurogamer during Namco Bandai's recent press event, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino mentioned that the localized version of the studio's hotly anticipated Sudio Ghibli collaboration, Ninokuni, could recieve some additional content for it's western release. Hino held back specifics, but said that  new monsters and some form of DLC could be in the cards.

Level-5 is actually no stranger to this. From speeding up the combat in White Knight Chronicles to adding voice work and an orchestral score to the localized Dragon Quest VIII, the studio typically tinkers with their games between releases. Which is great, as it usually makes them better.

I'm looking forward to Ninokuni as an overall experience, but the word online about the gameplay lacking depth does worry me, in all honesty. That said, any additions Level-5 makes will likely be welcomed by all.
