Firaxis Games, the development team behind Sid Meier’s Civilization VI has released a new trailer that highlights England and their ruler, Queen Victoria. Within the trailer, we get a glimpse of England, its abilities, and units that will be playable when the upcoming Civilization title releases later this year.
Within the official Civilization VI post, we get some backstory of Queen Victoria who took control of England at just eighteen years old. Since then, Victoria became queen for over sixty years and during that time, she saw the country grow enormously in various areas that included politics, industry, science, and military.
There are a few little areas that makes England a great option and opponent within Civilization VI and that includes the Royal Navy Dockyard. The British Empire had an incredible naval force and it’s very apparent within the game as well. Though to go one step further, England had what is known as Sea Dogs which were a force of privateers with armored ships that are essentially pirates who able to raid towns and ships under the queen’s order.
Lastly, there are the Redcoats which will be the main infantrymen that will be shipped off to various parts of the world to fight off and overcome faraway lands. Take a look at the new highlighted trailer posted above to see England and its abilities in action.
As for when you can get your hands on a copy of Civilization VI, the game is set to release worldwide on October 21, 2016, for the PC.
