Alongside the announcement of Call of Duty’s upcoming installment, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, gamers were introduced to the remastering of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This is one title that fans cherished since its release back in 2007 and while most remasters are welcomed into the gaming community with open arms, there are some serious hesitations on Activision touching up a classic from nearly ten years ago. Now one of the original developers behind the video game title has chimed in on his thoughts.
There are a lot of great memories playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as it took gamers from the usual World War II era of war first-person shooters and instead placed them in modern times. Overall, the game was a massive success with its gameplay mechanics, story, and multiplayer. Now, that the game has released into the market just shy of a full decade, Activision has begun remastering the title for a release on the latest generation of consoles.
Now we’re getting word on how one of the original developers of the game feels about the remaster. According to Vince Zampella, he simply wants Activision to not f*ck the game up which he stated to Eurogamer over a recent interview.
“I told them don’t f*ck it up. That’s my on the record response. I rang them up and said, honestly, don’t f*ck it up. It’s a huge part of people’s gaming memories.”
I believe Zampella shares the same hopes and demands as several gamers who originally played the 2007 first-person shooter. If you’re interested in picking up the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare then you’ll be forced into paying for one of the premium version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which starts at $80 and will be releasing on November 4, 2016, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
