Anthropic has drawn a line on all the vibe coding of all your favorite games.

YouTuber chasmmmmmmmmmmm shared this update on Twitter:
ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨
Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called “tengu_heron_brook”. There’s no setting to turn it off.
The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.”
The tengu_heron_brook flag allows Anthropic to perform remote system prompt injection to Claude via the network.
Officially, Anthropic announced that Claude will now do self-assessment as a safety check for every instruction. While Anthropic refers to cyber-attacks, self-assessment will check that Claude doesn’t do anything illegal – and that includes IP infringement.
In the past month, we reported on hackers trying to jailbreak the PS5 and Switch 2, as well as Roblox banning vibe coded ports of Halo and Left 4 Dead.
Anthropic has now set the example that other AI companies should presumably follow.
