CD Projekt RED has officially confirmed rumors of a new Cyberpunk 2077 movie.

Michał Nowakowski, one of the company’s two CEOs, shared this message on social media:
We’re excited about Paramount as a future partner who shares our creative ambitions for the Cyberpunk franchise. We look forward to sharing more details at the appropriate time.
The news was broken by Deadline, who confirmed that CD Projekt RED is producing the game alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura under Paramount Pictures. It will also tell a new story in that universe.
That’s the same Paramount that’s co-producing the upcoming Street Fighter Movie with Legendary Pictures, and the same Paramount that is set to merge with Warner Bros to form Skydance.
We’ll see if this movie will involve writer Mike Pondsmith, the literal author behind the cyberpunk genre, or actors Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves, who have both expressed interest in such a project in this universe.
