We now have a better idea on how Rockstar conceived of GTA 6’s Lucia.

In a new interview, Rockstar writer Alexa D’Agostino said this:
When it came to writing Lucia, I thought of the women I know—my mother was an immigrant who grew up in Newark, New Jersey, close to Lucia’s hometown of Liberty City. I thought about the way she raised me: rowdy, kind, but not to take any shit. I related a lot to Lucia and writing her came very naturally to me.
…When you are focusing on writing a fully realised person with their own wants, you’re going to get something perfectly imperfect—with clichés, but also undeniably real.
As you can see from her Mobygames profile, Alexa has been working at Rockstar for six years, writing for GTA V, GTA Online, and Red Dead Online.
Alexa also said that Lucia’s performance actor brought a lot to the role, though she fell short of confirming who the actor is. This all seems really promising on Lucia’s story arc and how players will like playing her, even relate to her.
