Hideo Kojima isn’t acting vindictive towards Sony after they cancelled PHYSINT.

Of course, Kojima revealed that Sony abruptly cancelled the game on him, forcing him to rush and find another publisher. But if that seemed vindictive, he isn’t following through on that.
In both interviews to the Washington Post’s Gene Park and IGN, Kojima refused to name which Sony executive shared the bad news. When IGN asked if it was Hermen Hulst Kojima said:
I can’t say. You would have to ask them.
He also explained to both Gene and IGN that PlayStation still hasn’t explained how they reached that decision. Kojima went on a Zoom call with Sony while he was in between events, which is how he received the bad news.
Kojima hadn’t thought to ask why at that moment, and Sony hasn’t reached out to him since. But in Kojima’s words:
But what I want to say is that we’ve been together for 30 years and we have this relationship. So if this was the conclusion, I would’ve wanted to hear it a little earlier. But that meeting in June, they just gave us the final notice.
