Rockstar has ruled out two things gamers hate will be in GTA 6.

Development head Rob Nelson categorically denied that GTA 6 will have either generative AI or microtransactions, in an interview with Kinda Funny.
If you were paying attention, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick already addressed generative AI, pointing out that it was too late to add it in even if they wanted to. This was as far back as February of this year.
But the point about microtransactions may be a mixed blessing. Because fans may be happy that they won’t be compelled to buy even more things in-game after spending $ 80 – 100 for the game.
But it also suggests that GTA 6 won’t have its own GTA Online at all. It is possible that this could change sometime after launch, but it could be a situation where they didn’t even plan to make new generation GTA Online at all.
But then again, considering that the industry is at a crossroads with the next PlayStation and Xbox possibly being unaffordable, maybe this is the right call for Rockstar, and for gamers.
