Rockstar Hiring Social Media/Creator Contact In The Buildup For GTA 6’s Launch

February 2, 2026 by Ryan Parreno

It’s really happening.

Rockstar is hiring new people to help promote their games, including GTA 6.

videotechuk shared that Rockstar New York is looking for an Associate Director of Creator Strategy.

The job listing says that Creator Strategy’s job is to “grow and engage Creators and the broader player community,” and their job entails “organic and paid Creator efforts across all Rockstar Games products”.

Applicants are also required to have working knowledge of social media platforms. So there’s no question that this job will be about managing Rockstar’s social media.

Rockstar has been visibly building up Rockstar New York’s operations. We have reported on the studio hiring for various roles throughout 2025.

We can view all this as one more sign that Rockstar is serious about completing and releasing GTA 6 as planned in November 2026. They’re making all the necessary investments and ramping up for that launch.

We may not be getting more GTA 6 tweets tomorrow, but they’re literally planning to start doing that soon.
