More evidence is piling up that Call of Duty is set to return to Nintendo platforms soon.

Last week, Jez shared a rumor that the franchise would be coming specifically to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Today, Twitter user realityUK shared a screenshot showing that Nintendo appears under Call of Duty’s code.
The name Nintendo is listed alongside Sony, Steam, Microsoft, and Ubiconnect under both PlatformFamily and ClientPlatformToPlatformFamily.
Does This Also Confirm Cross-Play?
The last Call of Duty games on a Nintendo platform where Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Wii U. Both used Activision’s servers, but did not have cross-play with players on other platforms.
The Switch and Switch 2 are now broader platforms for cross-play titles, with Fortnite leading the pack.
It would be more surprising if Call of Duty did not have cross-play on Nintendo. But since they have to build it from scratch, it’s believable that Activision might not be ready to deliver it at launch.
For now, we still wait for the official announcements.
