Silent Hill fans have been waiting to see what is coming next. After such a long hiatus, the franchise made a glorious return. Konami dusted off the IP and announced that multiple projects were in the works several years ago. This announcement also came with the reveal of a remake of the franchise’s most cherished installment, Silent Hill 2. However, fans were quick to be skeptical of this project, given that it was coming from Bloober Team.
Bloober Team would be taking on their biggest project to date with this remake. Fortunately, they nailed it and proved that they were a big contender for AAA horror games in the future. That said, the game was released only on PC and PlayStation 5. Those of you who were on Xbox Series X/S consoles were left without the game. Fortunately, that has changed today, oddly enough, with no marketing materials to support its release.
Silent Hill 2 Shadow Dropped For Xbox Series X/S Consoles

Thanks to the folks over at Insider Gaming, we’re learning that you can pick up a copy of the Silent Hill 2 remake right now for a notable discount. The game is available for just $35, and if you’ve been waiting for this one to land on the platform, finally, that’s likely a steal for you and a horrifying weekend to dive into.
As mentioned, there have been plenty of leaks and rumors suggesting that this game is coming to the Xbox Series X/S. However, it’s an odd move not to highlight it at all. Even yesterday, we had the Xbox Partner Showcase, which focused on third-party games coming to the platform. That seemed like a perfect opportunity to reveal the Xbox version of the game and highlight its release today.
Regardless, it’s at least nice knowing that we can finally dig into this game on Xbox. What most of us are now waiting for is to see if there’s still any chance we’ll get the fabled Born from a Wish DLC. That hasn’t been unveiled yet, with some fans anticipating its reveal alongside the Xbox launch. Since that didn’t happen, we’ll just have to see if this piece of content comes to fruition. Meanwhile, we also have a movie adaptation coming our way based off this very game installment.
