Given the recent “sour note” that Rockstar Games has thrown at players, we thought it might be a great idea to do something a bit more positive. So, what’s the best part about video gaming? That question can be answered in different ways by different people, but one of the funnest things that can happen by far is something happening in the game that you didn’t see coming, and you’re basking in the feeling that it gives you. Modders do this all the time, and it makes them fun to watch as they experiment with things like GTA 5.
Yes, the previous entry in Rockstar’s game series has been around since 2013, and that means that a LOT of mods have been put into the game, especially the PC version, and that modders have had time to figure out the game’s code and what to do with it. For example, there’s the infamous yet hilarious modder and streamer known as Blurbs, who set his sights on making GTA 5 something even more insane thanks to how he does things.
What do we mean by that? Well, most modders make something to go into the game, then put it out there for others to enjoy. Blurbs, though, creates stuff, and then streams the insanity on his Twitch profile, while also asking his community to weigh in and help affect things further. Yeah, it’s pure chaos, and when he took things to Los Santos, things got even crazier.
For example, he had it to where instead of the main characters doing serious crimes, it was the NPCs doing things like Insurance Fraud, and then, those same people went and tried to sue the protagonist for their crimes, and things only got more insane from there.
Don’t believe us? Well, at one point, the “game’s judge” got tired of Blurbs trying to do a regular game mission, and demanded that he do a match in Super Smash Bros to clear his name. You can witness all the insanity below:
So, what does this prove? Um…nothing? Seriously, it was a mess from start to finish, and that’s being generous. And yet, it’s a ton of fun to see things devolve into such madness and people enjoying every second of it. Plus, because this isn’t a publicly released mod that’s being sold, Blurbs can’t get in trouble for it.
We all need a good laugh right now, and this definitely qualifies as that. So, enjoy!
