Red Dead Online is still going on with new content in hopes of keeping players roaming the wild west a little while longer. We might be waiting a while before we get a Red Dead Redemption 3, so your online multiplayer component of Red Dead Online might be your only means to enjoy something new in the gritty western setting. Fortunately, some new events is going on this month.
With October in full swing, there are more than a few games that are celebrating the month with spooky content. Inlcuded in the mix is Red Dead Online. At the beginning of October, we received word that we would get some new Halloween-focused goodies and events. Included throughout this month are special featured series.
Red Dead Online – Dead of Night
If you’ve been following Red Dead Online Halloween event, then you might have already put the Dead of Night featured series on your calendar. Each week in October, we have a featured series that gives players out 2X RDO$ and XP. Those series will continue until November 3, but this week we’re starting our third featured series event.
This particular event is the Dead of Night featured series, which is something we’ve seen in the past. Players are getting a special themed team PVP mode. Essentially, players will work with their team to kill off the undead and score points, in hopes of ranking up the most amount of points by the end of the round.
Since this is the featured series starting tomorrow, October 21, 2025, players will also get extra RDO$ and XP. Of course, you still have time to participate in the current featured series that started back in October 14, 2025, and ends today. Meanwhile, you’ll also want to make note that this won’t be the last featured series for the game.
We also have another ready to take over on October 28, 2025. This will be the Fear of the Dark featured series. If you’re wanting a breakdown of everything that came to the game thanks to the Halloween season, you can find our breakdown right here. Of course, while we are hopeful to see something come out for the Red Dead Redemption franchise soon, we know officially that Rockstar Games is busy working on the Grand Theft Auto VI installment. So we’ll be waiting a good while after that game’s release in May of 2026 before we likely hear any mention of the next installment to this franchise.
