Red Dead Online Offering Double RDO$ & XP Through Spoils of War

October 16, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Don’t miss out on the spooky seasonal events!

We’re midway into the month of October, and hopefully that means you’ve been getting into some horror content. It’s the time of the season to enjoy some spooky movies and games after all. Fortunately, more than a few games are celebrating this kind of content. Included in that lineup is Red Dead Online. Halloween content has rolled out already into the virtual wild west.

A cold chill is going across the frontier, so be ready. Fortunately, a few things are happening on this western frontier to keep players logging in through the month. For instance, each week, there are featured series that get a nice buff. If you haven’t been keeping tabs on them, don’t miss out on the latest. You still have time to complete it before the next featured series takes its place.

Taking to X, Rockstar Games is reminding players that they can still take part in the second week of their featured series for October. This past week, we had the Fear of the Dark rollout. However, starting on October 14, Rockstar Games moved on to Spoils of War. Players will find this series continuing until October 20, when it will be swapped out again.

Fortunately, Spoils of War has been in the game, so you likely already know what to expect. This is a team-based mode where players on each team try to steal the other’s loot from within their base.

The reason you’ll want to participate this week is the extra goodies you’ll get. As noted in the official Rockstar Games Newswire, there are 2X RDO$ and XP for these featured series. But again, you only have until October 20, 2025, to participate before that series is swapped out.

Meanwhile, in other news, we have a look at how Red Dead Redemption 2 plays on the ROG Xbox Ally X if you were interested in that handheld. Likewise, there are still rumors that we might get a new next-gen edition release for the game. In which case, those of you on the Nintendo Switch 2 might see the title come your way, much like how Red Dead Redemption arrived for the original Nintendo Switch.
