September is shaping up to be a big month for gaming. I’m sure more than a few of you are actively enjoying Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, that’s not the only game on players’ radars for this week. We have a few days to go, but on September 12, 2025, Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 4 should be available to pick up. Now, the hope in many players’ minds is that this installment does better than its predecessor.
While we don’t have far to go before getting our hands on Borderlands 4, the video game should receive reviews before then. That’s according to a report online on when critics’ reviews will be available. If this proves to be accurate, we’ll get some insight into the game before the title launches.
Borderlands 4 Reviews Reportedly Go Live September 10
Thanks to Borderlands 4 Bulletin on X, a new post alerted followers to the review launch date. Players will supposedly see these reviews a couple of days before the launch. So get ready to hopefully see some more in-depth previews and review pieces on Borderlands 4 this September 10, 2025. That’s welcoming as it will at least showcase the game before its launch rather than embargoes supposedly pushing these reviews back until the day the game arrives for everyone.
Hopefully, that means the developers are confident that this game will deliver. Again, there’s a lot of hope that this title will offer a better gameplay experience than Borderlands 3. While some of you might have enjoyed that installment, it received quite a bit of flak from fans of the franchise.
Again, we still have time to preorder the game if you prefer to get the various bonuses. Meanwhile, Gearbox Software is still marketing this game to ensure players are well aware of its upcoming release. As a quick reminder, Borderlands 4 is set to arrive on September 12, 2025. When it does release, you’ll find it available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Meanwhile, those of you on the Nintendo Switch 2 will find it available next month, on October 3, 2025.
