Grand Theft Auto V was such a behemoth of a video game. Fans worldwide couldn’t get enough of Los Santos, and this title had quite the journey. It lasted several console generations, with developers focusing mostly on the online component. Now, the game has stepped out of the limelight, with developers focusing on the successor. However, the original cast that made the GTA 5 campaign so entertaining wouldn’t mind coming back for some GTA 6 DLC.
Actors Shawn Fonteno, Ned Luke, and Steven Ogg have stepped into the spotlight a few times. We have a new Comic-Con where the three talked about their time working on Grand Theft Auto V and their characters, Trevor, Franklin, and Michael. However, as fans have continued to plead for Rockstar Games, we have never received any single-player storyline DLC for the current installment.
Now, all these years later, there is still hope that the developers will bring these characters back, even if it’s just for one final goodbye. One fan, taking to a Q&A portion at a recent Comic Con, asked the trio if they would be interested in taking a call to return as their characters for some kind of GTA 6 DLC.
Fortunately, it looks like all three would love the idea. Each has the mindset of doing one more heist. This would be the final heist for the three and their way of exiting the spotlight. We’ve known that Steven Ogg has expressed interest in the past in returning as Trevor, but only as a means to see his character leave, allowing the focus to really hone in on the new cast.
Of course, we don’t know what Rockstar Games has in mind. Grand Theft Auto VI is still very much in development. While plans were initially to get this installment out to the public this year, they have since been pushed back. We’re now expecting the game to be released in the marketplace in May 2026.
