The team at California Coaster Kings got a look at the debut of the Mass Effect: New Earth theme park ride at California’s Great America amusement park.
There was a huge ceremony with people dressed up as characters from the Mass Effect series. The technology that went into this includes the world’s largest high definition LED screen. Some Mass Effect replica armor was on display, with mysterious fog spewing out of all sides every so often to give it a cool atmosphere.
The ride starts by telling you about Terra Nova and the Mass Relays of the Mass Effect universe, but a news broadcast interrupts to tell you that trouble is brewing out in space. The theater where the ride takes place in has immersive audio and crisp visuals. The attention to finer details certainly seems nice.
