I’m sure there are more than a few fans eagerly awaiting the next big release from MachineGames. The studio known for delivering the latest Wolfenstein titles has been hard at work bringing this latest Indiana Jones title to life. However, we’re now finding out that this upcoming action-adventure experience will be lengthy. At least this will be a longer game than what we’re used to seeing from MachineGames. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has already been confirmed to have several hours of cutscenes.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is MachineGames’ next big release, and it’s set to arrive next month. This is also the next big title that I’m sure Xbox Game Pass subscribers are eager to see added to the service. However, thanks to GamesRadar, which credits an interview piece by MinnMax, we’re finding out the game will be lengthy. MachineGames’ creative director, Axel Torvenius, said this is by far the biggest and longest game the studio has worked on.
We don’t get specifics on how long the game might take players to complete. However, what we do know is that Axel noted that the game has roughly three hours and forty minutes of cutscenes. That’s quite a bit of footage for players to showcase as the storyline progresses.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle should have plenty of exploration and puzzles to solve, adding to the time players would take to finish the game. If you haven’t been keeping tabs on this title, this game is set between the Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Last Crusade films. Indiana is going through a new archeological journey as he uncovers a mystery surrounded by various sites that line up to make a perfect circle around the world.
Players interested in the game can expect it to be released on December 9, 2024. When it launches, it will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass. Meanwhile, the PlayStation 5 was also confirmed to receive the game sometime in 2025. While we wait for the game to arrive, you can learn more about how Troy Baker almost didn’t land the part to portray Indiana Jones right here.
