Fortnite OG Officially Confirmed To Return Next Month

November 12, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

After rumors and leaks suggested it was coming, Epic has finally unveiled the game mode.

When Fortnite launched its battle royale experience, it was a huge success. Players continue to log into the game daily. With a barrage of crossovers and new season updates, the developers strive to keep the game feeling fresh. However, those who want to return and relieve the glory years of the original Fortnite experience can soon do so.

It was rumored this month that Epic would bring back a Fortnite OG experience next month. Rumors suggested that the gameplay experience would be like Fortnite when it first came out. Beyond that, there would be season chapter updates to keep players going. While details are a little scarce, news emerged online from the official Fortnite X account that the OG experience will be dropping on December 6, 2024.

THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL.

Rumors were right that Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 1 will return. It’s noted in the X post that this is an OG experience that is here to stay. Players will get to play the original battle royal experience with the OG map, loot, and seasons. The entire experience, as mentioned, will be arriving early next month, so that might urge players to go back and replay this experience. Likewise, this could prompt players who never played the original Fortnite battle royale game a chance to see its humble beginnings.

Fortunately, this still looks to be a unique mode, so the main game will continue to evolve. For now, we’ll have to mark down our calendars and prepare to return to the original map with our squads again. In the meantime, you can view the X post from Fortnite’s official account, which is embedded above.
