Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 PC System Requirements Unveiled

September 20, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

RAM requirements are up.

Microsoft Flight Simulator has been around for ages, and fans really enjoy the gameplay experience. You’re able to sit in a cockpit and fly some of these various incredible aircrafts all around the world. With each new installment comes a barrage of enhancements to further provide an immersive and realistic experience. We’re getting ready for the next iteration, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. However, if you plan to pick this game up on the PC platform, you might want to ensure you have a capable PC.

The Microsoft Flight Simulator games can be demanding, so knowing if your PC can run the game is crucial before picking up a copy. Earlier today, we reported that the developers worked hard to improve from their previous installment. Some of those improvements range from physics engines, smoother flight dynamics, multithreading for a better performance experience, and various aircraft systems to avionics.

By tapping into the latest cloud streaming technology, installation size has been trimmed down to about 30 GB to get you in your seat and flying as quickly as possible, streaming in the higher detailed areas that are only necessary for your flight path; why install all the data for the United States when you’re intending to just fly over Europe for the evening? – Xbox Wire

So, this next game strives to bring you a better overall experience. Likewise, we already know that we’re not dealing with a behemoth of a download. The game download size was dropped as the developers are relying on cloud streaming technology rather than having players download hundreds of gigabytes. Recently, the developers posted on their X account to highlight the system requirements.

The graphic above highlights the system requirements. Fortunately, for minimum specifications, you might have no real problem getting this game up and running. However, things can be a little different when you look at the idea specifications for the game.

The big area that players are questioning online is that this game will ask players to have 64 GB of RAM. That could mean you’ll be forced into making an upgrade from whether you are running just 16 GB or 32 GB. At any rate, you will have some time to make the necessary upgrades.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will launch on November 19, 2024. When the game is released, it will be available for the PC and Xbox Series X/S console platforms.
