A lot of focus right now is on the next Call of Duty game, which we know as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. That should be arriving in the marketplace next month, and while plenty of fans are excited, another separate Call of Duty game is popping up online. Call of Duty: Future Warfare was in development several years ago before being scrapped. Now, we’re getting an unofficial look at the game.
Call of Duty: Future Warfare was a project in development back in 2011. Development studio Neversoft aimed to deliver the game in 2013. However, that didn’t come to fruition. Some details came out, such as this title being set in the future. But today, we’re getting a barrage of new clips from the game.
Thanks to Insider Gaming, we’re finding out that Call of Duty: Future Warfare has several clips posted online that are just getting picked up by fans. This mainly comes from the YouTube channel Generalkidd, which highlights various aspects of the game, including weapons, equipment, menus, and missions. That’s another aspect of this game project that you might find of interest. It’s reported that there is a near-complete campaign for the game.
It’s always fascinating to me when we see what some studios were working on before these projects were killed off. One of the clips below features the first mission of Call of Duty: Future Warfare. It’s worth noting that the title also includes NX1, the project’s internal codename.
At any rate, there is some current news for the Call of Duty franchise. It was recently announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone will bring back The Haunting event. This special Halloween-themed event will kick off on September 18, 2024.
