It’s honestly fascinating to see how big Among Us has gotten since the days of the global pandemic. It was a title that actually came out BEFORE the pandemic, and yet it spread like wildfire during the lockdown because we wanted a fun game to play with friends. Fast forward to now, and the game is still growing. It has various side projects being made, and people still enjoy it. For the record, that’s awesome to hear. One of the things that it’s still doing, though, to keep people involved in the game is bringing in new outfits for players to try on.
The next outfit will drop in one week, and it features a very fun crossover with the Ace Attorney franchise! As the tweet below shows, Miles Edgeworth is TOTALLY SUS!!!! Okay, not really, and he’d probably take offense to being called that. However, on the 9th, you can download a free skin that lets you dress up your characters as the beloved prosecutor. We hope he doesn’t mind us saying this, but we think he looks good as a potential imposter.
As for why they’re doing such a collaboration now, that would be because just a few days before Among Us gets this skin, the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection will drop. These two games star Miles Edgeworth and follow him on his journey to “find the truth” across two titles. As such, it makes sense that Capcom would want to do some publicity crossovers to try and garner attention for the collection. This entry in the franchise is important, as it’s the “final piece to the puzzle” in updating and remaking every entry from the saga. When it arrives on September 6th, you’ll be able to play every title from the series on modern platforms, which is very impressive.
Focusing on Miles’ games for now, the key difference between his and the other entries that follow Phoenix Wright or others within his “orbit” is that Miles Edgeworth will be using his sharp prosecutor brain to try and figure out crimes not in court but within crime scenes themselves. With Detective Dick Gumshoe and an old acquaintance named Kay at his side, he’ll need to find clues, unlock the truth from people’s “testimony” and more to figure out what really happened in the events that he gets wrapped up in.
Along the way, he might discover the true path he was meant to take as a man of justice.
