Sony Highlights PlayStation 5 March Lineup

March 4, 2024 by Todd Black

A good roster of titles.

The PlayStation 5 is in a curious place right now. The system is technically on a pace that eclipses its predecessor, one of the best-selling systems of all time. That’s impressive. However, it’s a bit murkier on the software side of things and the business side of things. Sony announced that there wouldn’t be a 1st party game from a familiar franchise until at least March of next year. Then, you have to recall the Sony layoffs that rocked the gaming industry last week when they let 900 people go from their global studios. So, yeah, it’s been a weird start to 2024.

But that doesn’t mean the PlayStation 5 has nothing to offer for the rest of the year. As the official Twitter account for the console noted today, plenty of titles are coming out in March alone!

This month on PlayStation 📅

🤼‍♂️ Mar 8 – WWE 2K24
🌌 Mar 14 – Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection
⚾ Mar 19 – MLB The Show 24
🔦 Mar 20 – Alone in the Dark
⚔️ Mar 22 – Rise of the Ronin
🐲 Mar 22- Dragon's Dogma 2

It’s true that not all of these gamers are exclusive titles, but that shouldn’t sour any anticipation for the games, especially given the crop of them coming out, especially on March 22nd.

For example, we’re days away from the release of WWE 2K24, which is meant to celebrate the company and its massive event, Wrestlemania. They’ve been dropping character reveals, entrances, the full roster, DLC information, and more for a while now. Reviews are even starting to come out for the title. So, if you’re a fan of WWE, you’ll want to get into the ring with this game soon enough.

As for Alone in the Dark, this is meant to be a reboot of the classic horror franchise that helped cement the gaming genre many years ago. There will be many chills and terrors with the characters you play as, so be sure you’re ready to be scared out of your mind!

Rise of the Ronin is the exclusive game for the PS5 in March, and it’s a big one from Team Ninja! You’ll play a ronin who must venture across Japan and choose the path of its future. You’ll have to contend with forces from afar and within the country itself, so you’ll need to use your blade and other skills to take down those who stand in your path. What will you decide as Japan’s fate? You’ll find out soon!

Finally, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a game that has been many years in the making. The team behind the original title waited for things to “catch up” before they dove into the sequel, and now, the results of their efforts will soon arrive! Everything will be as you expect while also being taken to a new level!

So, yeah, the PS5 will have a big month.
