Insider Claims Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Slated For Late 2024

March 1, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

We still might have our hands on the next Dragon Age installment this year.

BioWare has been a staple name in the video game industry. These folks have delivered some genuinely remarkable RPGs over the years. However, their last few attempts at bringing out a hit have not hit the strides players expected. Outside of the remastered collection of the original Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem are two of their latest installments that weren’t quite the gem developers or players hoped for. With that said, there’s still hope Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will turn things around.

Dragon Age fans have been waiting for a new Dragon Age game for several years. We know that the next installment is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, a title that was first announced back in 2018. While the developers are slowly working through the game, fans haven’t been given too many marketing materials to help hype up what they can expect.

Fortunately, we received a new trailer towards the end of last year. It wasn’t much to take in, but there was confirmation that the full showcase for this next Dragon Age: Dreadwolf trailer would come out at some point this summer. I don’t think that would surprise too many gamers, as the summer months are typically filled with showcases and events for the gaming industry.

But today, we’re finding out on an X post that industry insider Jeff Grubb is also claiming that the team internally is still expecting to see this game launch in the late 2024 calendar year. During Jeff’s podcast, it was noted that he wasn’t certain when the next showcase would be. It’s still assuming we’ll see something featured this summer, much like how the previous teaser trailer alerted followers.

Likewise, nothing is confirming that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be coming out this year. So, a lot of this is left up in the air at the moment. But it would make for another significant game release for 2024 if the folks over at BioWare are able to reach the finish line in time. That said, we know that when Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is released, it’s slated to come out for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
