There has been a bit of talk about John Romero and Adrian Carmack, co-founders of Id Software and the incredible hit title Doom. Lately, the talk has to deal with a new video game currently in the works for the developers, one that has been pretty tight-lipped. However, the news of what this video game is will be announced next week.
A brand new video was posted online entitled as “The Return” which stars both Adrian Carmack and John Romero. The duo takes on a parody of Star Wars: The Force Awakens ending, so spoiler alert, but honestly, if you haven’t seen the film By now then you’ve already been spoiled or you just don’t care.
Within the video, Adrian Carmack travels to locate John Romero and upon meeting, Adrian lifts up a keyboard and mouse. Before Romero is able to answer or take on the mouse and keyboard the video cuts to a date, April 25, 2016, a date in which Romero’s studio, Night Work Games, will have some sort of an announcement.
Earlier this week we got wind of a website that was somehow connected to a project that John Romero is working on. That speculation was later confirmed by Romero later on Twitter where he used the hashtags PC and FPS. Other than that, we still have no real clue as to what exactly the game will be about or how far off before we’ll get our hands on a copy to try out. Luckily, we’ll know something about this unnamed video game this coming Monday.
