The original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was one of the more “unexpected hits” when it was released. It was one of the many “clones” of a certain fighting series that came out over the last few years, but the twist was that this one was honestly rather good. It brought forth many beloved characters from past Nickelodeon generations and put them into one place where players could have fun beating them up and sending them flying. But now, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is coming soon, and a bunch of information has been dropped for it, including the first campaign trailer for the title.
In the campaign mode, you’ll play as the various Nickelodeon characters in an attempt to stop Vlad Plasimus. For those “not in the know,” he’s the archvillain of Danny Phantom. Plasmius has always wanted to take over, and now he’s gotten a new chance at doing just that.
But getting to Vlad won’t be an easy task. You’ll go through a roguelike campaign full of levels and challenges and face numerous bosses before taking on Vlad. For example, the trailer showcases you fighting King Jellyfish, the Flying Dutchman, and the Shredder! But don’t worry. Not only will you get the chance to upgrade your character to be someone else, but you’ll also get the chance to upgrade your skills and abilities!
That doesn’t even tackle the other modes of the game like Arcade Mode, the mini-games mode, a boss rush mode, and even a speedrun mode where you can see just how fast you can get through the main game. There will be plenty of challenges in the title.
But wait! That’s not all they revealed. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 also dropped information about its season pass and the characters you’ll get in it! Four characters will drop in the first season pass, starting with Mr. Krabs. But you’ll also get Iroh and Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The good news is that if you only want one of these characters and not all of them, you can purchase them individually and still get both the characters and the extra costumes they come with.
Now, here’s where things get really interesting. Because at the end of the trailer, they announce that the game’s digital versions will be available on November 7th. But if you want the physical version of the game, you’ll need to wait until December 1st. That’s quite a gap, but we’re sure there’s a “reason” for it.
