Manor Lords Is Day One PC Game Pass And Coming To Xbox, Release Date Revealed

October 26, 2023 by Ryan Parreno

The surprise Xbox release announcement is just the cherry on top for this release.

Manor Lords has been confirmed coming Day One To PC Game Pass.

A few hours ago, the official Manor Lords Twitter account shared this update:

“I owe you an apology, but I will do it without a colored background. I wanted to hit 2023, but I failed. We pushed it to 26 April 2024.

I’m sorry – it was a tough decision, but the game needs more bugfix and polish, even for an early access.

But! There are good news too.

Game will come to PC Gamepass and later on, to Xbox consoles, which I know a lot of players asked for.

Thanks for everyone for support, I know it’s been a long ride, and if you’re out of patience, thank you for being with me on this journey up to this point, I totally respect and understand.”

Now, we expect most of you reading this to go “What is Manor Lords?” Well, you may be quite surprised, as it has been revolving around Steam’s top wishlist for some time now. As reported by Insider Gaming, it is currently the third most wishlisted game on Steam.

Manor Lords is a city builder and military sim, that promises another level of immersion and realism as found in medieval times. The game is being developed by Slavic Magic and published by Hooded Horse.

As explained in Xbox Wire, residents are given burgage plots, with the same conditions that workers had in those times. With proper planning, towns can soon prove self-sufficient enough to  grow their own eggs and vegetables, make their own bread and clothes, and more.

For this reason, the simple act of plotting out how to divide burgages to your villagers already has a material effect on your success or failure. One the combat side, the armies you build will actually be comprised of the same villagers that you have.

This is military and city building on hard mode. The villagers you allocate to fight will be taken away from resource creation. Even worse, if they die, you lose those builders and farmers immediately. This game will go so far as to make you have to allocate enough weapons, that either your village built on their own, or had imported over. That’s on top of the usual variables in military sims, like elevation, weather, etc.

As you can imagine from its Steam wishlist standing, fans have been eager awaiting Manor Lords’ release for some time. The fact that it’s also being prepared for Xbox release is the sweet cherry on top.

Manor Lords will be released on April 24, 2024, on PC via Steam, GOG, and PC Game Pass. It will also be coming to Xbox consoles. You can watch the trailer below.
