CD Projekt Red is gearing up to release their upcoming expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, and they want to ensure that everyone has as much information as possible about the content. This will be the only major content for the game since its launch, so they’ve been working hard to make it quality and something players would want to try. All looks into the game so far have been promising, but gamers will be a bit gun-shy, given what happened with the original game back in 2020. However, the developer has something coming up to help alleviate fears even more.
Specifically, this Thursday, they will have a Night City Wire stream where they’ll unveil more about the game, have some of the actors talk about their characters, and there might be a surprise or two in store. Check out the details below:
The reason Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is so important for CD Projekt Red is that they’re trying to show gamers, and the gaming world at large, that they have learned its lessons from before. Don’t forget that the main game was in the works for years, and then when it arrived in 2020, it was a buggy mess of a title that only certain people could play. Those “certain people” were those with super high-end PCs that could handle the stress the game put on them. Something that the upcoming expansion will have similarities with.
There were also supposed to be multiple content additions to the game post-launch, but due to how terrible the main title’s release was, all that got scrapped, and this is now what remains. The good news is that CD Projekt Red did focus on improving the main game to the point where it became playable to all and took those lessons to heart when they made this content.
Just about everything is improved compared to the main game. The way you play, how you can interact with the world, the options you have, everything is cranked up as you enter the new area of Dogtown. Plus, your old friend Johnny Silverhand is still with you as V has to go on a high-stakes mission to try and save the President. Their reward for saving them: Saving their own life.
But that won’t be easy when all of Dogtown will want to see the President dead. So you’ll want to watch the stream to know everything possible before diving in.
