The fan base for Rockstar Games has been actively waiting for the development team to finally make the grand official reveal for their next installment to the Grand Theft Auto franchise. While we know the game is in the works and have seen some leaked gameplay clips, the actual official reveal has yet to happen. We don’t know just how much of a wait we still need to endure before the game makes its appearance to the public through a trailer. However, it looks like one developer from India leaked some content regarding Grand Theft Auto VI to fans via his Linkedin profile.
Rockstar Games has been incredibly quiet over anything related to Grand Theft Auto VI. It’s not surprising as they want to ensure the grand reveal happens, bringing out plenty of exciting content. So to avoid spoiling anything, the studio didn’t offer anything more than a confirmation that the next game is in development. While they had to deal with leaks from an outside source who released clips of the game, they are now dealing with leaks from an internal developer. Thanks to Sayan Saha, we know that the next game may bring back the chainsaw weapon.
Dexerto reported on the Linkedin profile update, which has since been taken down. This new profile update from the developer, who is a 2D/UI designer based in India, the developer revealed that they had completed over 500+ different 2D assets for Grand Theft Auto VI. Included are the likes of unique brands, interior props like a chainsaw, fire extinguisher, boat motor, and more. Likewise, they were responsible for some of the signage found around the map and various generic clutter like government documents and certificates.
Again, the details regarding Grand Theft Auto VI were taken down according to the report by Dextero, but they had since acquired an image showing off the bio profile. It looks like this is a big mistake on the individual and just another look into what we can potentially see pop up within the next Grand Theft Auto installment. Unfortunately, we’re still no closer to knowing just when Rockstar Games will be making the big reveal for Grand Theft Auto VI. But until that reveal happens, fans will continue to investigate anything they can get their hands on, which might point towards new details for the highly anticipated video game release. In other related news, we learned that a Grand Theft Auto VI hacker was not deemed fit to stand trial.
