Mortal Kombat fans have been waiting on that next major installment. We know it’s in the works, but nothing has yet made its way to public attention quite yet. However, that should be changing very soon. We might finally have some details regarding what players can expect when it comes to Mortal Kombat 12 next month. That’s, of course, if one industry insider is to be believed. Here’s what has been said online that has all attention focused on the month of May.
If you want to pull off a new fatality, Mortal Kombat 12 is high on your anticipated games list. We don’t know much of anything right now when it comes to Mortal Kombat 12. The video game franchise is well beloved, but NetherRealm Studios is keeping a tight lip on what this next iteration will entail. Although, Mortal Kombat 12 will apparently make some headline news next month if Jez Corden’s statement holds true. Jez is a journalist and reliable industry insider that has started to tease news is coming for Mortal Kombat fans.
Taking to Twitter and replying to a post regarding Mortal Kombat 12, Jez noted that we should know more this coming month. But, of course, that’s all which was said, so any further details or hints as to what might be featured in this next game will remain a mystery. Although, that hasn’t stopped fans from guessing what characters will be popping into this game installment. We’ve seen a few notable IP crossovers in the past, and that trend will likely hold true in this upcoming installment.
For instance, one character that was rumored to show up in Mortal Kombat 11 was Ash Williams. However, that never came to fruition. Recently the actor who portrays the character, Bruce Campbell, was asked whether he would like to see Ash Williams appear in Mortal Kombat 12. Unfortunately, Bruce Campbell strongly believes in keeping this character out of any game outside of Evil Dead: The Game. So that’s one character we might not see in the next game installment.
Meanwhile, if you haven’t already done so, Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest installment you can pick up and play today. The game launched back in 2019 and has since been put on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. We also have a Before You Buy video coverage on the game installment, which we’ll include down below.
