Fallout 4 Automatron’s Robobrains Face Off Against The Brotherhood of Steel In Epic Battle

March 23, 2016 by Stephen Daly

For a group dedicated to salvaging technology, the Brotherhood sure seems to spend a lot of time destroying it.

Fallout 4’s first DLC, Automatron, was released yesterday by Bethesda for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Despite the short span of time since launch, YouTube channel UpIsNotJump has released a video showing 1,000 of the DLC’s robobrain antagonists fight the Brotherhood of Steel. You can check out the video above.

Automatron starts with your Vault dweller receiving a radio distress broadcast on their pip-boy and investigating a deathly ambush in the outskirts of Boston. Tasked with taking on the mastermind behind these robotic menaces, you must track down the Mechanist from the game’s Silver Shroud comics.

Wearing the Silver Shroud costume unlocked during the quest of the same name during the DLC leads to additional themed dialogue options and is well worth it for a few giggles, though it’s best to have the upgraded version of the costume before tackling the DLC missions.

Automatron allows you to salvage parts from the robots you defeat and customise both new companions such as Ada and existing ones including Codsworth and pre-human transformation Curie. Aspects including armaments, build, carry weight, colour, and more can all be tweaked to your liking at the new robot workstation.

This is the first of three announced DLCs for the game and will be followed in April by Wasteland Workshop, which aims to enhance the settlement workshop feature and allow you to capture wasteland creatures. In May, Bethesda plans to release Far Harbor, which takes the player from Massachusetts to Maine and the largest landmass the developer has ever created for a DLC.
