Smite is headed to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and players can be expected to play it at a fluid 60 frames-per-second.
Today, the game’s developer Hi-Rez revealed that the third-person MOBA, which has been out on the PC and Xbox One for awhile now, will be playable at 60fps on consoles. The improvements will come to both the existing Xbox One version of the game as well as the upcoming PlayStation 4 release. Hi-Rez has recently announced the starting date of the Smite open beta on PlayStation 4. The open beta begins March 22.
The game is currently locked to 30fps on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but its developers have confirmed that the game is being worked on for superior performance. One of the game’s designers, Scott Lussier, posted the following on Twitter to confirm it:
