The Division’s Upcoming Content May Have Been Revealed

A fan has found what could be hints for future content in Tom Clancy’s The Division.

The Division map detail
A fan has found what could be hints for future content in Tom Clancy’s The Division.

This fan found a map while exploring the virtual open world Manhattan. This map has the Dark Zone smack dab in the middle, but if you look closely, there are interesting details. If you look closely at the marked area in the picture below, you can see an area labeled 21 Darkzone. This area currently cannot be explored within the game itself. Our source also claims that another map has another area north of the Dark Zone, labeled Darkzone 22.

Fans who are familiar with New York’s topography and have played the game may already recognize this location. It’s Central Park, the most visited urban park in the US, and also known as one of the most filmed locations in the world. It seems strange that such a famous area is closed off from the rest of the game, unless Ubisoft did intend to open up after launch. In the lore of Tom Clancy’s The Division, Central Park has been converted into a mass grave. It seems likely that this area was heavily contaminated, and it would make sense that this would be an area the agents would have to decontaminate later.

Also of note are the parts of the map below marked with blue lines and named Chopper run. Based on other potential leaks, it seems possible that this will be the location of Chopper run content, in what will be called Incursion DLC. Both the entrance to Incursion and the location of Chopper run would be in the South.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. It is now Ubisoft’s best-selling game. A fan has already put forward the theory that future DLC could add Central Park.

What do you think of these DLC rumors? Would you like to explore The Division‘s Central Park? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
