There are a bunch of characters in Fire Emblem Engage. You are likely to get a handful of characters every few Chapters. Considering each character is unique, there is a lot of play to be had when it comes to planning your perfect roster. Not only that but there are side characters you can find through Paralogues.

There is a third type of unlockable character, however. These are the ‘Missable Characters”, and you bump into these once you start to push towards the Chapter 20 mark. These characters, if not recruited when you first meet them (whether by killing them or ignoring them), are gone forever. The first of these characters is Lindon.

Who Is Lindon?

Lindon is a powerful Sage who works for the Kingdom of Elusia. His loyalty is to the Royal Family, which causes him a lot of distress when the Royal Family is ousted from Elusia. Lindon may appear to be an old man, but his magical prowess is not to be underestimated as he is more than capable of removing heavily armoured foes who stand in his way.

Where To Find Lindon

Lindon is encountered in Chapter 18, The Cold Voyage. He is stationed on the right-most vessel that has boarded Alear’s ship. Lindon is highlighted at the start of the Chapter giving you a slight clue that Lindon is not your regular enemy wizard.

How To Recruit Lindon

Recruiting Lindon is theoretically very simple, but in practice, can be rather tricky. Lindon is a potent spellcaster with more than enough power to remove an unprepared ally from the field – if not by himself, then with the help of his Elusian comrades. To get Lindon to join your forces, you need to have Alear talk to him. That’s all it takes.

You want to ideally clear most of the ship Lindon is standing on before you attempt this as despite Lindon’s power, he is still a squishy unit that can be overwhelmed by a dedicated force. Alear could also be at risk of being assassinated if you rush her in too early.

Be sure to use staves that freeze enemies – and even Lindon – to prevent your allies from being overwhelmed or killed. They also have a Magic Turret on that ship, which can cause a lot of issues if you start marching slow-moving armoured allies across the map. Try and use a speedy unit like a Wyvern Rider or Pegasus Knight to quickly dispatch them.

With Lindon on your side, you should have no trouble dealing with the rest of the Chapter.

Is Lindon Worth Using?

Lindon is a fairly solid character. His growth in Magic is decent, but nothing to write home about. Lindon does have surprisingly high Resistance and Speed stats, however. This makes him shockingly effective at dealing with enemy Magic Users. Consider giving him skills and Emblems that increase his magic efficacy to turn him into a real threat on the battlefield.
