CD Projekt RED has revealed plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 and an unannounced AAA RPG between 2017 to 2021. They shared these plans in their latest financial meeting, where they also revealed details about the success of the Witcher franchise, and plans for GOG.

Getting back to Cyberpunk 2077, managing director and CPR board member Adam Badowski revealed that the premier isn’t a long way away. Alongside their plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 and the other AAA RPG, CPR will also be expanding their core franchises with more media and product lines, and CPR itself is also growing, in two ways. There will be four individual teams, two of which will work on games in their new product segments. This implies these studios are dedicated to spinoffs for games such as The Witcher.

The Witcher franchise has now sold over 20 million copies. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alone sold 31.6 % digitally, breaking down to 50.2 % of the game’s revenue. This year, CPR wants to try a new video game format that they have not tried before.

For GOG, they promise the release of a AAA game that will have full GOG Galaxy support, but is not itself affiliated with GOG. This game will release concurrently with the game’s global release. GOG also promises GOG Galaxy will support more globally released AAAs within 2017 to 2021. CPR itself is doing amazing, with their share price increasing 353 % within the last four years. CPR intends to buy their shares back.

Cyberpunk 2077 is planned for release in 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. CPR has talked twice about its scope, about how its much bigger it is than The Witcher 3, and how it has expanded significantly since the initial design documents.
