Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Larger And More Ambitious Than Ever

December 5, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The makers of The Witcher 3 state that Cyberpunk 2077 is even bigger than they first planned.

We don't know much about CD Projekt's next endeavor, Cyberpunk 2077, at the moment. But the studio's CEO Adam Kicinski says that the game will be even bigger and more ambitious than what the developers originally planned.

"The project is even more ambitious than we first planned (…) we need to create a game that will be even more successful," he said on Polish TV. "We have a long way ahead of us to reach the biggest commercial successes in the world."

Candidly, Kicinski said that while The Witcher 3 was a major success and a good investment for the studio, it still wouldn't be breaking any sales records.

Originally announced in 2012, Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 and has no announced release date.

The studio is currently working on the second expansion pack for The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine. A large portion of the studio has since transitioned to working on Cyberpunk 2077, the studio previously announced.
