It has been quite some time since fans were treated to a new Spongebob Squarepants video game. Yes, we recently received Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehyrdated, but that was a remaster of a classic title. This time around, THQ and Purple Lamp Studios have developed what they have been calling a spiritual sequel to Battle for Bikini Bottom.
Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is rapidly approaching its release date, which is set for the end of January 2023. Fans have been itching to learn more about the game, and the developers are slowly trickling out news as we get closer to the big day. Today they have released a brand new boss-fight gameplay trailer which showcases some familiar faces as well as our heroes Spongebob and Patrick in action!

In related news, THQ recently announced the official release date for the hihgly anticpated video game. Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is set to release on all platforms on January 31st. Yes, the wait is finally almost over, and fans of the series can jump into this new story featuring some of our favorite characters! In addition, THQ released a new release date trailer as long as plenty of great new features the game is set to launch. Some include unlocking 30 costumes, learning never-before platforming and karate skills, and traveling across seven game worlds to help save your friends. Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, as well as the incredibly expensive $250 BFF edition that includes an inflatable Patrick Star, will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC (as well as new generation consoles via backwards compatibility on January 31, 2023.
