Disney Dreamlight Valley has been in Early Access since September on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam for PCs. Although for Xbox, the game has been in the Xbox Game Pass, and the lead producer, Manea Castet tells us it’s been a “great success” so far. The team also expressed their thoughts on Disney Dreamlight Valley being available on the Xbox Game Pass from its first day being available and Castet said, “we couldn’t be happier! The entire team are huge fans of Game Pass and its breadth of titles, and having Disney Dreamlight Valley there on day one has been a great success for us so far. From the start, making sure the game was accessible by as many players as possible during Early Access was a big focus for the team. As such, having the game on Xbox Game Pass during this phase was a no-brainer, and we couldn’t be happier with the results so far.”
Disney Dreamlight Valley just recently had a pretty decent update for the game, bringing Scar and a new Villain Star Path, however, much much more is coming including characters from Toy Story. “In addition to regular content updates…players can expect to see lots of familiar faces from the iconic franchise that they’ve come to love over the years,” Castet went on to say. “The next update will focus on all things Pixar’s Toy Story and will put both Woody and Buxx Lightyear in the spotlight.” One thing to also note is that the update will bring us a new realm as well. Castet also said that this update “will be considerably bigger than ‘Scar’s Kindom’ and we can’t wait for players to dive into it.
Some players are trying to work through all the Disney Dreamlight Valley achievements and for those who are, the next part is for you. There are some achievements that cannot be unlocked yet in order to complete them, like one achievement that asks you to build 30 houses for friends…which obviously isn’t possible yet with the game still being new and small. “Like any life-sim game, the achievements aren’t going to be something that you can complete in a day or even a week,” Castet says. “The game experience is really about getting to know the world, the characters, and what systems therein make the game really special and fun to play. So, achievements are built around the ideal.”
The next update is coming sooner than we think so get excited and get yourself prepared in-game!
