Tales From the Borderlands Receiving Physical Release

February 18, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Tales from the Borderlands receives a physical release date including all five episodes.

Telltale Games and Gearbox has officially announced today that their episodic adventure, Tales From the Borderlands will be receiving a physical retail release. Gamers who have yet to play the five-part adventure based within the Borderlands universe can now do so in full on a console of their choosing from PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and likewise the PC. This physical disc will come packed with all five episodes of the previously released Tales From the Borderlands when it hits store shelves starting on April 26, 2016.

Tales From the Borderlands picks up after the events that unfold within Borderlands 2. A power struggle emerges as everyone from big name corporations, con artists, to bandits decide to come in possession of the Vault Key which is believed to unlock riches and wonders to whoever obtains it.  However, when it’s revealed that there are more vaults waiting to be unlocked, everyone begins their search to find these hidden vaults scattered throughout the galaxy. Overall, the game follows two main protagonists, Fiona a common grifter along with Rhys, an employee of the Hyperion Corporation.

Originally, Tales From the Borderlands was broke into five separate episodes for games to purchase and playthrough as each episode offers gamers a bit more of the story. The last episode of the game released on October 20, 2015, and since then, purchasing the episodes was the only way gamers could enjoy the game. Now with the announcement of this title releasing into the market as a physical disc containing each episode, gamers can go through Tales from the Borderlands in its entirety.

So far, Gearbox and Telltale Games have announced the physical disc release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Each will run $29.99 USD although for those who opt to play the game on PC then you’ll be given a bit of a discount as the title will run you $19.99 USD. Currently, Tales of the Borderlands is available on Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One.
